Rotary Jax Puts First Fish In!

Rotary Jax Puts First Fish In!

The Jacksonville Rotary Club gave us a grant for our first greenhouse last year. Now the greenhouse is finished and they came out for our opening celebration of the new aquaponics system. We had over 50 people show up for the event with the introduction of the first 100 tilapia to their new tanks! What a great day it was to see everyone so excited about the newly completed system which will produce over 2,000 lbs of fish per year and over 4000 leafy greens and 1000's of vegetables bi-monthly.

Thanks to Rotary Jax for helping sponsor our first of eight Aquaponic Greenhouses!

Aquaponics in West Africa!

Aquaponics in West Africa!

We just recently helped them build a Sustainable Microfarm using concrete and plastic drums. After a little instruction, the boys did most of the work creating hope, dignity and encouragement to be responsible for their new food production system. Soon they will be eating fresh tilapia, herbs and vegetables for free!

The Corn Maze Season has begun

Many people have never heard of Aquaponics, some even hydroponics. It is a shear delight to see the faces of the children as they feed our hungry fish. Some even get a playful splash!

Wow, what a days work! Thanks to all who came and volunteered to help get ready for the corn maze season!

Another successful week of training!

We had fun with our new friends and soon will help them build a system. We look forward to see the progress at Garden For Life
